The Annie Oakley Festival is celebrating its 61st year as a festival. The mission is to keep the memory of Annie Oakley alive and to help educate others about what Annie Oakley did, and why she became so famous. Annie Oakley is a native daughter of Darke County Ohio, and the area is so proud to bring honor to her name and her history.
Activities that will take place at the festival include:
- Cowboy Mounted Shooting event that will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Ohio Western Arts Showcase Presented by GLD Enterprises Communications LTD
- Melodrama taking place at various times throughout the three (3) day festival
- Live musical entertainment on Friday and Saturday
- Annual Annie Oakley Parade takes place on Saturday morning, leaving the Fairgrounds and arriving downtown Greenville around 10:00 am (a huge part of the festival, with nearly 100 floats/participants in the parade)
- Historical Bus Tours (free – narrated bus tours around the Greenville area, focusing on Annie Oakley)
- Shoot Out 50/50 competitions (minimal charge)
- National Fast Draw competitions to enjoy watching
- 2021 Annual Annie Oakley Festival Car Show (Sunday)
- National Kiddie Tractor Pullers Association (Sunday)
- 2021 Annie Oakley Wiener Dog Races (more information will be available in upcoming days)
