A museum showing rocks, minerals and fossils from around the world but concentrating on those from Ohio. Exhibits include meteorites (rocks from outer space), crystals, fluorescent minerals (rocks that glow in the dark) and a series of cases telling the geologic history of Ohio. Highlights include the skeleton of a giant ground sloth (an animal that weighed about 1700 pounds and lived in Ohio during the ice age) and the skull of a giant carnivorous fish that swam in the ocean waters that covered Ohio 380 million years ago when Ohio was 20 degrees south of the equator, about where Australia is today.
